Web Design
I started designing web pages when I was working the midnight shift at Kinko’s back in 1995. Working the late shift at Kinko’s is a little like flying a commercial jetliner: long stretches of sheer boredom punctuated by moments of stress and terror. Nobody wants to face that customer who rolls into the shop at 3 a.m. desperate to make copies of a presentation for a morning meeting.
But to pass the time during those slow stretches, I started making web pages with Adobe Pagemill. I guess you can say I’ve been doing it since it first came out. I now serve as the Director of Web Communications at Oregon State University. I’m not really doing any freelance work these days unless it’s related to wine or film (long story), but I’m willing to look at any project. I’m handy with Photoshop, HTML, CSS, PHP, XML and most of the rest.
